“You are Hope” is based on a PC game made by Jason Rohrer.
However, this application is not his and he is not involved in its creation.
Our game and online world are separate from his and contain exclusive changes and extra content that we created ourselves.

One important thing you do in this game is to name your children (who are also players). “You are hope” is what a mother would say when she calls her son ‘hope’.

Your goal is to rebuild civilization from scratch, along with other players and for countless generations.

You are born as a baby to one of the other players or as a young girl if no suitable mother is found. Every minute in real time is a year in the game and its maximum age is 60 years. A single life is limited, but the things you do during your life are left to your children and grandchildren when you leave. Try to make life a little easier for those who will come after you, so that your family line has a chance to prosper for many generations.

Sometimes you will spawn alone in the desert. You need to light a fire to keep warm and catch rabbits to get meat and fur for your clothes. A sharp stone can be your best friend in the beginning. Try to find a good place to settle down and plant some food, as other players may arrive soon as your children and will need to be cared for until they are old enough to help you.
